I have a set of old iron tool base legs, probably from an old lathe. Typically everyone either leaves them painted, repaints them black, or strips them and leaves them the raw iron color. These legs had a heavy coat of tan, peeling, blah color. I knew I had to strip them which is time consuming and messy but it had to be done. Our team at Dichotomy Home, LLC, ...(me) doesn't really like dealing with the awful toxic stripping chemicals but we, (me) took one for the team.
After stripping I knew I didn't want the same old iron look, or the black industrial look, I wanted COLOR! I wanted RED! It's part of my new "color craze" a design idea I am now following, 'cause I NEED to be different.
The top is also going to be very colorful, multi colored...think Tie-Dye!
I have a bunch of extremely figured Tiger Maple and with my transparent coloring technique the exotic grain should not only show through but be enhanced by all of the colors!
So, I have Legs and I know how I am going to use them!
